Joy Folkedal

Joy Folkedal is a “boomerang” BoardSource employee. Now a senior project manager of governance programs, she previously served as a BoardSource consultant and the director of training. She is passionate about building better nonprofit boards and just keeps returning to the BoardSource fold. As senior manager of governance programs, Joy develops consulting and training curriculum and resources for BoardSource clients and projects. She also supports BoardSource’s Ask-the-Expert member benefit by answering governance questions and directing members to the appropriate BoardSource resources.

Joy has two master’s degrees — one in voluntary sector organization from the London School of Economics and another in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University.
